In the summer of 2021, I joined with Redbud Labs—a small team of engineers, scientist and entrepreneurs who aimed to bring innovative microfluidic technologies to research labs all over the world. After four year of product design and development we have successfully brought to market a novel solution to a global challenge.

The result is Redbud NA1: a microfluidics-based automation platform engineered for rapid nucleic acids extraction assays. Myself and a handful of others designed, built, and tested the instrument and the microfluid consumable. These products are now proudly manufactured in North Carolina and distributed across the world.
